Hadith 2751

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ قَصْرِ الصَّلاةِ ، فَقَالَ : " سَافَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعْنَا " ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ : هَلْ أَقَامَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، أَقَمْنَا بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرًا " .
Yahya bin Abu Ishaq narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) about the shortened prayer (Qasr Salah). He replied: We traveled with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) from Madinah Munawwarah to Makkah Mukarramah, and until we returned, he continued to lead us in two rak‘ahs (for each prayer). The narrator says: I asked him: Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stay (in Makkah)? He replied: Yes! We stayed in Makkah for ten days.
