Ya'la bin Umayyah narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah Almighty has said: "There is no sin upon you," meaning in this regard that if you fear (danger from the enemy), then you may shorten the prayer. But now people are in a state of security. So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was also surprised at what you are surprised at. I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this, and he said: This is a charity which Allah Almighty has bestowed upon you, so accept the charity from Allah Almighty. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Ibn Abu 'Ammar is Abdur Rahman bin Abdullah bin 'Ammar. He is among the trustworthy narrators from the people of Makkah.
