Hadith 2681

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ ، بِالرَّقَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَة ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ ، قِيلَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in five rak'ahs. When he finished with salam, this was mentioned to him. So he turned towards the qiblah, and while sitting, he performed the prostration of forgetfulness (sajdah sahw) twice.
