Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty does not sleep, and it does not befit His Majesty that He should sleep. He lowers and raises the scales. The deeds of the day are presented before Him before the coming of the night, and the deeds of the night before the coming of the day. His veil is light. If He were to remove the veil, the radiance of His countenance would burn everything that His sight reaches. He has extended His hand of mercy during the night for the sinner of the day, so that He may accept his repentance during the day, and He has extended His hand during the day for the sinner of the night, so that He may accept his repentance during the night." (This will continue) until the sun rises from the west.
