أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، بِعَسْقَلانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ ابْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ ، وَعُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أخبراه ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيَّ مِنْ بَنِي قَارَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ نَامَ عَنْ حِزْبِهِ ، أَوْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِنْهُ ، فَقَرَأَهُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَلاةِ الظُّهْرِ ، كُتِبَ لَهُ كَأَنَّمَا قَرَأَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ " .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sleeps before performing his regular practice (wird) or something from it remains, then if he recites it between the Fajr prayer and the Zuhr prayer the next day, it will be recorded for him in his book of deeds just as if he had recited it at night."
