أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلاتِهِ ذَكَرْنَا تَعْجِيلَ الصَّلاةِ أَوْ ذَكَرَهَا ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " تِلْكَ صَلاةُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ ، تِلْكَ صَلاةُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَجْلِسُ أَحَدُهُمْ حَتَّى اصْفَرَّتِ الشَّمْسُ وَكَانَتْ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ ، أَوْ عَلَى قَرْنَيِ الشَّيْطَانِ ، قَامَ فَنَقَرَ أَرْبَعًا لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ فِيهَا إِلا قَلِيلا " .
Alaa bin Abdur Rahman narrates: We visited Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) after the Zuhr prayer, and he was performing the Asr prayer. When he finished the prayer, we—or perhaps he—mentioned performing the prayer quickly. Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "This is the prayer of the hypocrites, this is the prayer of the hypocrites." He said this three times: "One of them sits until the sun turns yellow, and it reaches between the two horns of Satan. (The narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) When it reaches the two horns of Satan, then the person stands and pecks four times." He remembers Allah very little in this prayer.
