Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, these two will suffice for him.” (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Abdur Rahman bin Yazid heard this narration from Alqamah, who attributed it to Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him). Then he met Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) during Tawaf. He asked him about this matter, so Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to him.
