Hadith 2496

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ ذَرِيحٍ ، بِعُكْبَرَا ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَوَّاسٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَشْجَعِيُّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ لِي دَيْنٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَضَانِي وَزَادَنِي ، فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَقَالَ لِي : " صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: I had to collect something from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he paid it to me and gave me some extra as well. I came to him in the mosque, and he said to me: Perform two rak‘ahs.
