Hadith 2476

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ " يُطِيلُ الصَّلاةَ قَبْلَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَيُصَلِّي بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْتِهِ " ، وَيُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ " .
Nafi' reports: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to perform a lengthy prayer before Jumu'ah, and after it he would perform two rak'ahs in his house, and he used to state that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same.
