أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " حَقُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ خَمْسٌ : رَدُّ السَّلامِ ، وَعِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ ، وَاتِّبَاعُ الْجَنَائِزِ ، وَإِجَابَةُ الدَّعْوَةِ ، وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: A Muslim has five rights over another Muslim: returning the greeting of salam, visiting the sick, accompanying the funeral, accepting invitations, and responding to one who sneezes.
