Zaid bin Aslam narrated from a man belonging to Banu Dail, on the authority of his father, regarding Bisr bin Mihjan, that his father stated: He was present in a gathering with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) performed the prayer and then returned, and Sayyiduna Mihjan was still sitting in his place. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him: What is the reason, did you not perform the prayer with the people? Are you not a Muslim? He replied: Yes, O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! (I am a Muslim) but I had already performed the prayer at home. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When you come, then perform the prayer with the people as well, even if you have already performed the prayer before.
