Sayyiduna Mutlib bin Abu Wada'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) standing opposite the Black Stone, performing prayer. Men and women were passing in front of him. There was no sutrah between him and those people. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration contains evidence that when a person is praying without placing a sutrah as a barrier, then it is permissible to pass in front of him. The narrator named Kathir bin Kathir is Kathir bin Kathir bin Mutlib bin Abu Wada'ah bin Sabirah bin Sa'id bin Sa'd bin Sahm bin Amr bin Hasees bin Ka'b bin Lu'ayy Sahmi.
