Hadith 2355

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ بُرْدِ بْنِ سِنَانَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " اسْتَفْتَحْتُ الْبَابَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي تَطَوُّعًا ، وَالْبَابُ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ ، فَمَشَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ أَوْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى فَتَحَ الْبَابَ ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ " .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I knocked on the door. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was performing voluntary prayers at that time. The door was in the direction of the Qiblah, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came walking from his right side, or perhaps from his left side, and opened the door. Then he returned to his prayer.
