Hadith 2273

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَاهِرِ بْنِ أَبِي الدُّمَيْكِ ، بِبَغْدَادَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَلا يَمْسَحِ الْحَصَى ، فَإِنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ تُوَاجِهُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He learned of this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person is performing prayer, he should not move pebbles with his hand, because mercy is facing him."
