Hadith 2221

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أُمَّ النَّاسَ فَأَصَابَ الْوَقْتَ ، وَأَتَمَّ الصَّلاةَ فَلَهُ وَلَهُمْ ، وَمَنِ انْتَقَصَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَعَلَيْهِ وَلا عَلَيْهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever leads the people in prayer, performs the prayer on time, and completes the prayer, then he will receive the reward and the people will also receive the reward. But if he makes any deficiency in it, then its burden will be upon that person. Its burden will not be upon the people."
