Hadith 2093

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُدَامَةَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَتْ : نَزَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَتَكَلَّفْنَا لَهُ طَعَامًا فِيهِ بَعْضُ الْبُقُولِ ، فَقَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ : " كُلُوا فَإِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ ، إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ أُوذِيَ صَاحِبِي " .
Sayyida Umm Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stayed with us as a guest. We prepared food for him in which there were also these vegetables. He said to his companions, "You people eat it, for I am not like you. I fear that (by eating it) I might cause discomfort to my companion (the angel)."
