Hadith 2073

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حدثاه ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُمَا ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لا يَقُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ وَهُوَ بِحَضْرَةِ الطَّعَامِ ، وَلا هُوَ يُدَافِعُهُ الأَخْبَثَانِ : الْغَائِطُ ، وَالْبَوْلُ " .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say this: "No person should stand for prayer in such a state that his food has arrived, or when he is restraining himself from the two filthy things, stool or urine."
