Hadith 2050

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلْيَقُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ ، وَإِذَا خَرَجَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلْيَقُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person enters the mosque, he should send salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and say: 'O Allah! Open for me the doors of Your mercy.' And when he leaves, he should send salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and say: 'O Allah! Grant me protection from the accursed devil.'"
