Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among the inhabitants of the earth dies in such a state that he does not associate anyone with Allah, and he bears witness that I am the Messenger of Allah, and this returns to a heart that is certain, then that person's forgiveness is granted." The narrator says: I asked, "Did you hear this from Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) himself?" The narrator says, the people present stared at me, but they said: "Leave him, he has not said anything wrong. Yes! I heard this from Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) told this, and he heard this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
