Hadith 2029

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، إِذَا صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ ، قَعَدَ فِي مُصَلاهُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform the Fajr prayer, he would remain seated on his prayer mat until the sun had risen.
