Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took his hand and said: O Mu'adh! By Allah! I love you. Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! May my parents be sacrificed for you. By Allah! I also love you. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Mu'adh! I am advising you, recite these words after every prayer and never leave them: "O Allah! Help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner." (The narrator states) Sayyiduna Mu'adh taught these words to Sanabihi. Sanabihi taught them to Abu Abdur Rahman, and Abu Abdur Rahman taught these words to Uqbah bin Muslim.
