أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ حِينَ يَفْرُغُ مِنْ صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ وَيُكَبِّرُ وَيَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ : " سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ، رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ " ، يَقُولُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ ، وَسَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ ، وَعَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ ، مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ ، وَاجْعَلْهَا عَلَيْهِمْ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ ، اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْ لِحْيَانَ ، وَرِعْلا ، وَذَكْوَانَ ، وَعُصَيَّةً عَصَتِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ " . ثُمَّ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّهُ تَرَكَ ذَلِكَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ : لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ سورة آل عمران آية 128 .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would finish reciting in the Fajr prayer, he would say the takbir (and go into bowing), then he would raise his head and recite «سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ», then while standing he would supplicate: "O Allah! Grant deliverance to Walid bin Walid, Salamah bin Hisham, Ayyash bin Abu Rabi’ah, and the weak among the believers. O Allah! Send Your severity upon the tribe of Mudar and inflict upon them a famine like that in the time of Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him. O Allah! Curse the tribes of Lihyan, Za’l, Dhakwan, and ‘Usayyah, for they have disobeyed Allah and His Messenger." The narrator says: Then this narration reached us, when this verse was revealed, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) abandoned this practice: "You have nothing to do with this matter, whether Allah turns to them in mercy or punishes them; surely, they are wrongdoers."
