Hadith 1928

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَقْرَبَ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ ، فَأَكْثِرُوا الدُّعَاءَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A servant is closest to his Lord when he is in the state of prostration, so make abundant supplication (du'a) during this state."
