Hadith 1908

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَالَ الإِمَامُ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ، فَقُولُوا : رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Imam says «سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَہ», you should say, 'O Allah! Our Lord, all praise is exclusively for You.'"
