Hadith 1697

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فُضِّلْنَا عَلَى النَّاسِ بِثَلاثٍ : جُعِلَتِ الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا مَسْجِدًا ، وَجُعِلَ تُرْبَتُهَا لَنَا طَهُورًا ، وَجُعِلَتْ صُفُوفُنَا كَصُفُوفِ الْمَلائِكَةِ ، وَأُوتِيتُ هَؤُلاءِ الآيَاتِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ ، لَمْ يُعْطَهُ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي ، وَلا يُعْطَى أَحَدٌ بَعْدِي " .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We have been given superiority over other people in three ways: The entire earth has been made a mosque for us, the soil of the earth has been made a means of purification for us, and our rows (in prayer) have been made like the rows of angels. And I have been given these last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah from the treasure beneath the Throne; they were not given to anyone before me, nor will they be given to anyone after me."
