الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمْةَ الْمُرَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ
حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ
نَافِعِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، أَنَّ
مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ ، فَأرَشْدَ اللَّهُ الأَئِمَّةَ ، وَعَفَا عَنِ الْمُؤَذِّنِينَ " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : سَمِعَ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَلَى حَسَبِ مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ ، وَسَمِعَهُ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مَرْفُوعًا فَمَرَّةً حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، وَأُخْرَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَتَارَةً وَقَفَهُ عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ ، وَأَمَّا الأَعْمَشُ ، فَإِنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مَوْقُوفًا ، وَسَمِعَهُ مِنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، مَرْفُوعًا ، وَقَدْ وَهِمَ مَنْ أَدْخَلَ بَيْنَ سُهَيْلٍ ، وَأَبِيهِ ، فِيهِ الأَعْمَشَ لأَنَّ الأَعْمَشَ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، لا أَنَّ سُهَيْلا سَمِعَهُ مِنَ الأَعْمَشِ .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The Imam is a guarantor, and the Mu'adhdhin is trustworthy. May Allah guide the Imams and forgive the Mu'adhdhins." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration was heard by Abu Salih Saman from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) as we have mentioned, and he also heard this narration from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) as a Marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) hadith. So, once he narrated it from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and once from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and once he narrated it as a Mawquf (stopped at the companion) narration. He did not narrate it as a Marfu' hadith. And when A'mash heard this narration from Abu Salih from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) as a Mawquf narration, and he heard this narration from Abu Salih from his father from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) as a Marfu' hadith, then the person who inserted A'mash between Suhail and his father became confused, because A'mash heard this narration from Suhail. It is not that Suhail heard this narration from A'mash.
