أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْبَقْلَةِ الْخَبِيثَةِ فَلا يَقْرَبَنَّ مَسْجِدَنَا ثَلاثًا " ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : يَعْنِي الثُّومَ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever eats this foul fruit should by no means come near our mosque." He said this three times. The narrator named Ishaq says: By this is meant garlic.
