باب المساجد - ذكر الإخبار عن كفارة الخطيئة التي تكتب لمن بصق في المسجدChapter on Mosques - Expiation for the sin of spitting in the mosque.
Hadith 1637

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْبُصَاقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ ، وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Spitting in the mosque is a mistake, and its expiation is to bury it."
