Hadith 1547

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفِيانُ ، وَشُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ الأَجْدَعِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلا أَنْ تُصَلُّوا وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ " .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Do not perform prayer after the Asr prayer, except that you may perform prayer when the sun has risen high."
