Hadith 1510

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، مَوْلَى أَسْوَدَ بْنِ سُفِيانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمْةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: " إِذَا كَانَ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ " . وَذُكِرَ: وَذُكِرَ: " أَنَّ النَّارَ اشْتَكَتْ إِلَى رَبِهَا ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا بِنَفَسَيْنِ: نَفْسٍ فِي الشِّتَاءِ ، وَنَفَسٍ فِي الصَّيْفِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "When it is hot, perform the (Dhuhr) prayer at a cooler time, because the intensity of heat is part of the heat of Hell." The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned that Hell complained to its Lord, so its Lord allowed it to breathe twice: one breath in the summer season, and one breath in the winter season.
