أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، بِوَاسِطَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " قَدْ كُنَّ نِسَاءٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يُصَلِّينَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَلَفِّعَاتٍ بِمُرُوطِهِنَّ فِي صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعْنَ إِلَى بُيُوتِهِنَّ مَا يُعْرَفْنَ مِنَ الْغَلَسِ " .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Believing women would wrap themselves in their sheets and perform the Fajr prayer behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), then they would return to their homes. Due to the darkness, they could not be recognized.
