Hadith 1428

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، بِحَرَّانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَجَلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَانْتَهَى إِلَى سُبَاطَةِ قَوْمٍ ، فَبَالَ قَائِمًا ، فَتَنَحَّيْتُ ، فَدَعَانِي ، فَقَالَ : ادْنُ ، فَدَنَوْتُ حَتَّى قُمْتُ عِنْدَ عَقِبِهِ ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفِيهِ " .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he came to a garbage heap and stood there to urinate. I started to move away, but he called me and said, "Come closer." I came closer and stood behind him. Then he performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks.
