Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, reports this about the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: When he would enter the toilet, he would recite: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from male and female devils." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) (Al-khubth and al-khaba’ith are plurals for male and female devils. The word khabeeth is used for a single male devil, khabeethan for two, and khaba’ith for three or more. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would seek refuge from both male and female devils and would say: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from male and female devils.")
