Hadith 1405

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، بِبُسْتَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ آدَمَ بْنِ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَلاءَ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فِيهِ تُورٍ أَوْ رَكْوَةٍ ، فَاسْتَنْجَى بِهِ ، وَمَسَحَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى الأَرْضِ ، فَغَسَلَهَا ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِإِنَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to relieve himself. I brought a bowl or a vessel of water to him. He performed istinja (cleaning) with it, then he wiped his left hand on the ground and washed it. Then I brought (more) water in the vessel to him, and he performed wudu (ablution).
