أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْفَأْرَةِ تَقَعُ فِي السَّمْنِ ، فَتَمُوتُ ، قَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ جَامِدًا أَلْقَاهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَأَكَلَهُ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مَائِعًا لَمْ يَقْرَبْهُ " . قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بُوذَوَيْهِ ، أَنَّ مَعْمَرًا ، كَانَ يَذْكُرُ أَيْضًا ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a mouse that falls into clarified butter (ghee) and dies. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the ghee is solid, throw away that mouse and the ghee around it, and eat the remaining ghee. But if it is liquid, then do not go near it. Imam Abdur Razzaq narrates that Abdur Rahman bin Buzwayh informed me that the narrator named Ma'mar also mentioned that this narration is transmitted from Zuhri, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a similar manner.
