أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ ، بِالأُبُلَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ وَفْدَ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَاجْتَوَوَا الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَبَعَثَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي لِقَاحِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " اشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا ، وَأَبْوَالِهَا " ، فَشَرِبُوا ، حَتَّى صَحُّوا ، وَسَمِنُوا ، فَقَتَلُوا رَاعِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَاسْتَاقُوا الذَّوْدَ ، وَارْتَدُّوا ، فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ ، فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ ، " فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ ، وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي الرَّمْضَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A delegation from the tribe of ‘Uraina came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The climate of Madinah did not suit them, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent them to his camels. He instructed, "Drink their milk and their urine." They drank it and became healthy and robust. Then they killed the shepherd of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and drove away the camels. Those people had become apostates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent people after them. They were captured and brought back. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered their hands and feet to be cut off, their eyes to be branded with heated irons, and they were thrown onto burning stones.
