أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ الْخُلْقَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ الشَّهْرَ وَالشَّهْرَيْنِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِحَيْضٍ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ عِرْقٌ ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ الْحَيْضُ ، فَدَعِي الصَّلاةَ عَدَدَ أَيَّامِكِ الَّتِي كُنْتِ تَحِيضِينَ فِيهِ ، فَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ ، فَاغْتَسِلِي ، وَتَوَضَّئِي لِكُلِّ صَلاةٍ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). She said: O Messenger of Allah! I suffer from continuous bleeding for one or two months. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: This is not menstruation, rather it is blood from some other vein. When menstruation comes, then during those specific days in which you used to have your period before, leave the prayer, and when those days pass, then perform ghusl and do wudu for every prayer.
