Nazzal bin Sabrah narrates: We performed the Zuhr prayer behind Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), then we came out to the open field. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) called for a vessel in which there was water. He took it, rinsed his mouth, put water in his nose, wiped his face, both arms, his head, and both feet. Then he drank the remaining water while standing. Then he said: Some people dislike drinking water while standing, whereas the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did as I have done, and this is the ablution of a person who has not lost his previous ablution.
