Hadith 1328

أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ السَّيَّارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِي ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُهَاجِرُ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " وَقَّتَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفِينِ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ لِلَمْسَافِرِ ، وَلِلَمْقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً " .
Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakrah narrates from his father: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prescribed the duration for wiping over the leather socks as three days and three nights for a traveler, and one day and one night for a resident.
