Hadith 1276

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمْةَ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُفُوا فَوَاشِيَكُمْ حَتَّى تَذْهَبَ فَزْعَةُ الْعِشَاءِ ، فَإِنَّهَا سَاعَةٌ يَحْتِرَقُ فِيهَا الشَّيْطَانُ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep your livestock (inside the house) confined until the early part of the night passes, because this is an hour in which Satan sets fire."
