Hadith 1240

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفِيانُ ، عَنِ الأَغَرِّ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ، عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَسْلَمْ " فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ " .
Khalifah bin Haseen narrates this about Sayyiduna Qais bin Asim. When he accepted Islam, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed him to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with water and lote tree leaves.
