Hadith 1231

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ أَتَى الْجُمُعَةَ فَدَنَا وَأَنْصَتَ ، وَاسْتَمَعَ ، غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَهُ ، وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الأُخْرَى ، وَزِيَادَةَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever performs ablution well on the day of Jumu’ah, then comes for Jumu’ah (sits near the Imam), remains silent, and listens attentively (to the sermon), Allah Almighty will forgive his sins committed between this Jumu’ah and the next Jumu’ah, and for an additional three days.”
