أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلَمْ ، كَغُسْلِ يَوْمِ الْجَنَابَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Taking a bath on Friday is obligatory upon every adult person. (This bath) is like the bath of janabah (ritual impurity).”
