أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ اللَّخْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلَمْ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَعَلَى مَنْ رَاحَ الْغُسْلُ " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : فِي هَذَا الْخَبَرِ إِتْيَانُ الْجُمُعَةِ فَرْضٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلَمْ ، وَالْعِلَّةُ فِيهِ أَنَّ الاحْتِلامَ بُلُوغٌ ، فَمَتَى بَلَغَ الصَّبِيُّ وَأَدْرَكَ ، بِأَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهِ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً كَانَ بَالِغًا ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مُحْتَلَمْا ، وَنَظِيرُ هَذَا قَوْلُ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلا : وَإِذَا بَلَغَ الأَطْفَالُ مِنْكُمُ الْحُلُمَ فَلْيَسْتَأْذِنُوا كَمَا اسْتَأْذَنَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ سورة النور آية 59 ، فَأَمَرَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلا فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ بِالاسْتِئْذَانِ مَنْ بَلَغَ الْحُلَمْ ، إِذِ الْحُلَمْ بُلُوغٌ ، وَقَدْ يَبْلُغُ الطِّفْلُ دُونَ أَنْ يَحْتَلَمْ ، وَيَكُونُ مُخَاطَبًا بِالاسْتِئْذَانِ كَمَا يَكُونُ مُخَاطَبًا عِنْدَ الاحْتِلامِ بِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is obligatory for every adult person to go for Jumu'ah, and whoever goes (to perform Jumu'ah), it is obligatory for him to perform ghusl (ritual bath)." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) (In this narration, it is mentioned that it is obligatory for every adult person to attend the Friday prayer. The reason for this is that experiencing a wet dream is a sign of adulthood, so it means that when a child becomes an adult or reaches the age of fifteen years, he will be considered an adult, even if he has not experienced a wet dream. According to him, Allah Almighty's statement is: "And when your children reach puberty, let them seek permission as those before them sought permission." So in this verse, Allah Almighty has commanded seeking permission for the one who becomes an adult, because here the word "hulm" means adulthood, and sometimes a child becomes an adult without experiencing a wet dream and becomes addressed by the command to seek permission just as he is addressed by this command when accompanied by a wet dream.)
