Hadith 1205

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، يُحَدِّثُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ نُجَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لا تَدْخُلُ الَمْلائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ ، وَلا كَلْبٌ ، وَلا جُنُبٌ " .
Abdullah bin Naji narrates from his father: I heard Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrating from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture, a dog, or a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub)."
