أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةُ ، قَالَتْ : أَدْنَيْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُسْلَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ، قَالَتْ : " فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاثًا ، ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ كَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى فِي الإِنَاءِ ، فَأَفْرَغَ بِهَا عَلَى فَرْجِهِ فَغَسَلَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ بِشِمَالِهِ الأَرْضَ فَدَلَكَهَا دَلْكًا شَدِيدًا ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ ، ثُمَّ أَفْرَغَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلاثَ حَفَنَاتٍ مِلْءَ كَفَّيْهِ ، ثُمَّ تَنَحَّى غَيْرَ مَقَامِهِ ذَلِكَ ، فَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِالْمِنْدِيلِ فَرَدَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: My maternal aunt, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), informed me of this. She narrates: I placed water for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the ritual bath of janabah. Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) washed his hands two or three times. Then he put his right hand into the water, then he cleaned his private part, then he poured water on his left hand and washed it. He performed ablution as for prayer. Then he placed his left hand on the ground and rubbed it well. Then he performed ablution as for prayer, then he poured water over his head by passing both hands over it, then he moved aside from his place, then he washed both his feet. Then I brought a towel to him, but he did not accept it.
