Zuhri narrates: I asked Urwah about a person who has intercourse but does not ejaculate, so Urwah said that people are required to follow the last ruling (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) transmitted from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regarding the final matter. (Urwah said this:) Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to do this and would not perform ghusl, but this was before the conquest of Makkah. After that, he started performing ghusl in such a situation. He also ordered people to perform ghusl. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Husain is Husain bin Uthman bin Bishr bin Muhtafiz. He was from Basra. He had settled in Marw. He is among the trustworthy narrators.
