Hadith 1152

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا عَلَى رَوْحَةٍ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ ، دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِطَعَامٍ فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ إِلا سَوِيقٌ ، قَالَ : فَأَكَلْنَاهُ ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَمَضْمَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ " .
Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Nu’man (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were coming along with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) until we reached a place called Rauha’ near Khaybar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for food, and only sattu (roasted barley flour) was available. The narrator says: We ate it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then asked for water, rinsed his mouth, and performed the prayer. He did not perform ablution (wudu) again.
