Hadith 1113

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسَرَّحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ أَبُو بَدْرٍ ، بِسَرْغَامَرْطَا مِنْ دِيَارِ مُضَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ ، فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ " . قَالَ : فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُرْوَةُ ، فَسَأَلَ بُسْرَةَ ، فَصَدَّقَتْهُ .
Sayyida Busrah bint Safwan (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any person touches his private part, he should perform ablution." The narrator states: 'Urwah denied this matter, then he inquired from Sayyida Busrah, and she confirmed this statement.
