Abdur Rahman bin Jundub narrates from his father: Abu Jubair Kindi came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered for water to be brought for ablution for him, and said: O Abu Jubair! Go and perform ablution. He began with his mouth, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him: Do not begin with your mouth, because a disbeliever begins with his mouth. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) had water brought for ablution, he washed both his hands and cleaned them thoroughly, then rinsed his mouth, then put water into his nose, then washed his face three times. Then he washed his right arm up to the elbows three times, then his left arm up to the elbows three times, then he wiped his head, then washed both his feet.
